Please read this letter from the Remsenburg-Speonk school district regarding their new construction and a report from the traffic calming meeting.

On Tuesday, January 30th, The Remsenburg Association participated in a meeting to explore solutions to the issue of traffic and pedestrian hazards in our community. The meeting was organized by Remsenburg-Speonk School District Superintendent Denise Sullivan. In attendance were Supt. Sullivan, School Board President and Vice President Kevin Toolan and Mary Greiner, Southampton Town Highway Superintendent Charles McArdle, Southampton Town Councilmember Michael Iasilli and other members of the community.

In a follow up email, Superintendent McArdle stated that he was moving ahead with all these measures.
In addition to the town initiatives, the Remsenburg Association has purchased another radar speed sign and will be installing it to serve eastbound traffic on South Country Road in the coming months.
